San Isabel Electric’s energy-efficiency program, Empower, was designed to help homeowners use their electric bill data to determine if energy-efficiency products could help save them energy and money, and which products and services would best do that. We know it’s not always easy to get contractors to drive out to under-served areas in southern Colorado, especially with a reasonable price and time frame. Because we are a local electric utility, we can leverage relationships we have with local trusted contractors to help homeowners get affordable, competitive bids, and financing through grant or loan options.

When you choose San Isabel Electric’s Empower program, you don’t have to worry if we’ll still be in business decades down the road when your energy-efficiency product needs service or maintenance. As a cooperative electric utility, San Isabel Electric has been locally owned and operated by southern Coloradoans for nearly 85 years.
